Hackathon Rules

The FCRF Hackathon is a practical forensic investigation challenge. Participants are expected to follow the scope, analyse evidence responsibly, and maintain fairness throughout the competition.

  1. Stay Within Scope

Use only the challenge files, logs, evidence, URLs, systems, and environments officially provided by the organisers.

  2. No Platform Attacks

Do not attack, scan, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the CTFd platform, scoreboard, WAF, hosting server, or event infrastructure.

  3. No Flag Sharing

Do not share flags, answers, screenshots, solution paths, or walkthroughs during the live competition.

  4. Use Tools Responsibly

Forensic tools, packet analyzers, scripts, log parsers, and research are allowed. Brute force, denial-of-service activity, and disruptive scanning are not allowed.

  5. Respect the Evidence

Do not tamper with shared artifacts, delete evidence, overload services, or interfere with other participants.

  6. Monitoring and Misconduct

Activities are monitored carefully. Any attacks, abuse, cheating, or misconduct will lead to a ban or disqualification.
